If you are a customer of Altis under a signed service agreement, your use of our services and the data we collect in that context is governed by the terms of your customer agreement. In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and your customer agreement, the customer agreement controls.

You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
8. International Data Transfers
Altis is based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States (including in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, where applicable.
- Your explicit consent to the transfer, where you have been informed of the potential risks.

9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Email subscribers: We retain your information for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period thereafter to manage unsubscribe requests, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion of your data, we will process your request within a reasonable time, subject to any legal retention requirements.
- Analytics data: Data collected via Google Analytics and PostHog is retained in accordance with their respective data retention policies and your cookie consent preferences.
- Customers: If you are a customer under a signed service agreement, retention of your data is governed by that agreement, including its confidentiality and termination provisions.

10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 16, please contact us at privacy@altis.vc and we will promptly delete it.
11. Tracking and Do Not Track Signals
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and PostHog, which utilize cookies to track user behavior over time. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by managing cookies in your browser settings. Currently, our Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser signals.
12. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
